Outbuilding, converted to malthouse, now store. Early C17 with mid-C19 altera-
tions. Sandstone rubble and timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill;
plain tiled roof. Three bays aligned roughly east/west. Two levels. Framing:
two rows of square panels at upper level with short straight braces in lower
corners; collar and tie-beam truss at west gable end with two collars, three
struts to upper collar and V-struts in apex. North elevation: lower level has
a square window and door; upper level has two small windows and a loft door.
Steps at right end have been demolished. Two loft doors in gable end. Interior:
four brick firing chambers with coved funnels at west end, one of which is now
mainly demolished. Roof structure has been altered. The cowls at the west end
of the roof ridge have now gone. A narrow addition has been built onto the east
end of the building to link it with Court Farmhouse (qv).
