House and adjoining brewhouse and granary. C17 or earlier house, C18
granary, C19 brewhouse and refronting of house, rear extension c.1984.
Timber framed square granary with dark weatherboarding and pyramidial
old red tile roof, raised on red brick walls on E, S and W with lower
part open. Single-storey plum brick, red tiled brewhouse with S end
chimney links granary to house. Timber framed house on plastered plinth
with plastered infill panels to exposed frame on E end and upper part of
rear wall, front wall stuccoed with heightened eaves, steep old red tile
roof carried down over rear outshut to W half. Rendered matching rear
wing. A long 1 1/2 storeys 3-unit plan house facing S with front heightened
to 2 storeys, service end at W, entrance 1/3 from E end, and separate
chimneys to each unit, internal chimneys on E side of W and middle
parts, rear lateral chimney to E part. 6-panel door with small sash
window of 3/3 panes over. On each side sash windows of 4/8 panes over
8/8 panes. W part has 3-light C18 leaded casement windows in W gable and
on ground floor at front. E gable timbering of clasped-purlin roof with
collar-and-tie-beam truss. Rear has 3-light leaded window gabled dormer
and C17/C18 3-light leaded casement to E room with chamfered axial beam.
