West aspect. The bell tower is divided externally into four stages, which are defined by a series of string courses. There is a single Early English Gothic lancet window beneath a canopied niche, which probably housed an effigy of St Michael. The belfry windows are early Decorated Gothic, below a crenellated limestone parapet added in the late medieval period. (Photo Jun 2007).
