Stained glass window north 1. St John pertrayed as a young man, St Andrew with X cross and St Peter (named as Petrus) with key to gates of Heaven. The upper panels contain Henry VIIIs Royal Arms, Crowned, quarterly 1 and 4, Azure three fleurs de lys or (France moderne), 2 and 3 Gules three lions passant guardant or (England). Flanking this is a Crowned fleur de lys or within a bordure gules, representing the Angevin (Plantagenet) descent to Henrys kingship, and a Crowned rose of Lancaster within a bordure azure, for the Lancastrian descent after John of Gaunt. The bottom panels represent Jesus crucified between the two thieves (Matthew 27.38). (Photo Mar 2010).
