House, formerly one of the cottage homes built by the Leicester Poor Law Union
in 1884. Architect I.Baradale. Brick with Welsh slate roof. Cruciform plan
with main axis parallel to The Drive. Similar type to Nos. 3, 5 and 8. 4
irregular bays, the central left hand bay projecting as gabled wing, lean-to
porch to right of this projecting bay. Windows are a mix of sashes and
casements, grouped together with flat arched brick heads. Gable and axial
stacks.
