Two houses and shop. Circa 1830. Brick with rendered top storey, all colour-
washed. C20 tile roof, brick chimneys. Double-pile corner building, of 3
storeys and cellars, with 2 bays to Clapgun Street and 3 bays to Church Lane.
Projecting plinth on Church Lane side, painted stone band at first floor sill
level, painted stone string at second floor sill level, rendered eaves cornice
with lead flashing. Lower storeys have 3-pane sashes with gauged heads; second
floor has C20 square top-hung casements replacing sashes. Front to Clapgun
Street has good early-mid C19 bowed shop window to left, with wooden glazing
bars and cornice. Central C20 door with radiating fanlight in semi-circular
gauged brick arch. Front to Church Lane has 2 similar doorways, that to left
blind, and blind window panel to top floor centre. Corner is curved and
slightly recessed, with blind first floor window panel and double curved doors.
Doors are half-glazed and have large rectangular fanlight with margin glazing.
Gauged brick arches. Cellar opening on front to Church Lane.
