Barn, probably early C17. Cruck framed, with cladding of stone and
brick, slate roof. Four bays, the first bay having a loft approached by
external stone steps at the gable, the 3rd containing opposed wagon
doorways. Stone plinth, stone quoins to ¾ height at front corners, ½
height at rear corners; stone gable copings with kneelers, those at the
left end having ball finials. Loft door of studded planks, in wooden
doorcase with slightly arched lintel. Interior: 2 full cruck trusses,
one with halved blades, both with footstones, very high collars and
short king struts to the ridge, blades touching at the apex.
