Farmhouse. Probably early C19, but dated 1905 on porch. Large squared
sandstone blocks, stone slate roof with brick chimneys at the gables;
addition of red brick with slate roof. Double-depth 2-bay plan with
projecting porch, set-back added wing at left end. Two storeys,
symmetrical; prominent 1½ storey gabled porch has C17-style outer doorway
with moulded surround, hoodmould, and studded door, arched single-light
window above; to each side are 4-pane sashed windows with stone sills and
splayed stone heads, the upper windows shorter than the lower. Rear has
doorway to 1st bay, 2 altered windows on each floor and a 4-pane sashed
stairlight in the centre, all with very large stone heads, the outer
splayed. Single-bay left wing, 2 lower storeys, has an altered 3-light
window on each floor, and a little window close to the junction at mid
level. Interior not inspected.
