Includes No. 2 Glynn Street. Public baths, now sports
centre. 1900's. Probably T. Shelmerdine. Brick and
painted stone, with hipped slate roof. 2 storeys and 3
bays, end bays break forward under gables. 1st floor of
stone with top cornice. End bays have 4-light windows in
recessed stone reveals, with smaller 4-light windows to 1st
floor, all with small-paned casements. Central bay has 6-
light 1st floor window. Entrance with flanking 2-light
windows, all with eared architraves. Porch has wide
elliptical arch with Gibbs surround and triple key. Gables
have cartouches in frames with segmental pediments. 2
cross-axial stacks of stone and battered. Similar left
return incorporates No. 2 Glynn Street, a 2-storey, 2-bay
house. An interesting comparison with Wavertree District
Library (q.v.).
