The windows are double-chamfered, mullioned and transomed. The west

The recessed central section has a single-storey porch with balustrade
and moulded door surround with 4-centred head. On each side is a
mullioned and transomed window, the left-hand one having pointed heads
to the lights. On the 1st floor are 2 6-light windows and a plaque
'WFH 1872'. Above are 2 gabled attic dormers of applied timber framing.
The east facade is of 5 bays, the 2 northern bays being a later addition.
The windows are mullioned and transomed, except for the left-hand bay,
which has a 2-sided oriel window on the 1st floor. There are 2 timbered
attic dormers, and 2 stone dormers towards the rear. The west facade has,

the front, and a projecting round tower with a conical roof with eaves
carried on wooden brackets supported on stone corbels. Above 1st floor
level the stair is external. Inside there are some good marble fireplaces,
and some wooden carved fireplace surrounds on the lst floor. The entrance
hall is divided to make an informal sitting area and a stair with Jacobean
detail rises against the rear wall. The dining room, on the eastern side
at the front, has raised and fielded panelling, and stone corbels carved
to represent game.
