Bank Barn, probably late C18th. Limestone rubble with some sandstone
dressings and an asbestos roof, the slate roof only remaining over a southern
extension which has a stable on the ground floor with a loft above. West
wall, at the upper level, has a wide segmental arched entrance, with a
lean-to extension to its right and a gabled extension to the left. This
latter has a granary with a door with plain reveals reached by a short
flight of stone steps. To the left of this door is a one-light chamfered
window. The north wall of this extension has a doorway at a lower level
with plain reveals. The north barn gable has three ventilation slits on the
1st floor. The east wall, visible from the road, has a threshing door and
ventilation slits on the 1st floor. On the ground floor are three shippon
doors with plain reveals. To the right is a wide stable door with plain
sandstone surround and a window with a similar surround. The left-hand
extension has a tall stable door with plain reveals. Inside are four
trusses with softwood tie beams and re-used hardwood principals. Listed for
