House, now offices. Late C18/early C19. Red brick with hipped slate
roof. A simple 2-storeys and basement villa, detached and set back from
road facing N. Symmetrical 3 windows wide N front with plinth, corbelled
eaves courses, recessed sash windows with 6/6 panes, plastered reveals
and flat gauged red brick arches. Round arched doorway in middle with
radial lobed fanlight, 6-panel door, 5 stone steps, and square
projecting porch with fluted columns, square bases, simple abacus as
cap, full entablature and glazed sides. Double-pile plan with end
chimneys. Large sash window to kitchen on W side with 10/10 panes and 2
steps up to 6-panel door. Formerly Elm House.
