3 houses adjoining. C17 or earlier. Timber frame exposed in rear wall of
no. 90 with red brick infill. Brick fronts different to each house, in
C18 and early C19. Steep old red tile roof carried down over rear
outshuts to no. 88 and no. 89. A group of 3 adjoining 2 storeys and
cellar houses facing E on street front at curve of road. Attic to no. 90.
No. 88 has red brick front chequered with blue headers and stucco plinth.
Plain eaves corbel courses. A 3-light casement window to each floor
(renewed) with segmental arch to ground floor and relieving arch to
lintel over recessed doorway on LH with 6-panel door up 2 stone steps. 3
tie-rod plates at floor level. No. 89 has pilaster at each end of red
brick front with dentilled eaves, a 3-light and 2-light C18 leaded
mullioned casement on 1st floor and a small canted oriel on brackets and
similar 2-light C18 casement linked by a flat hood over 4-panel half-
glazed door. Cellar opening arch on LH. Plum brick no. 90 with 2 windows
to each floor, chamfered plinth and pilasters, dentilled eaves course and
cambered red brick gauged arches to ground floor openings. Symmetrical
front with flush box sashes of 4/4 panes on 1st floor and 12/12 panes on
ground floor, 4-panel flush beaded door up 2 stone steps. 3-light C18
leaded mullioned dormer window to swept dormer central on roofslope.
Large end chimney at LH and small at RH. Older large internal chimney at
N end of no. 89. Timber frame exposed in N end and rear wall of no. 90.
Chamfered axial beam with hollow stop in no. 89.
