Farmhouse. "J.C.1730" formerly to be seen on rainwater head.
Brick with slate roof. 3-bay 3-storey central-staircase plan
with a fourth bay added at a later date. Central door has
Ionic half-columns and plain entablature. 4-pane sashes
under flat brick arches on ground floor; 12-pane flush sash
windows on the first floor, 8-pane casements on the second
floor. Left gable rebuilt in C20. Bay 4 has door to left
under cambered brick arch, a paired sash on the ground
floor, a double sash on the first and a wide casement on the
second. 3 ridge chimney stacks. Various casement windows to
rear as well as a large stair window. Interior: staircase
with swept moulded rail, turned balusters on cut string and
turned newels. Fielded dado-panelling. 6-panel doors with H
hinges.
