Shotley Spa

GV II
Entrance lodge to spa, now house. Circa 1838 for Jonathan Richardson. Coursed
squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. One storey, 3
bays and fourth added bay. Original building has central renewed half-glazed
door under label mould; flanking 2-light stone-mullioned casements have glazing
bars and label moulds, and corner pilasters; right bay added in similar
materials and style. Renewed low-pitched hipped roof has wide eaves.
