C18 house much altered and rebuilt in C19 but retaining some original features. Red brick and partly roughcast, tiled roof. L-shaped block. Two storeys. The west front has an Ionic doorway with keystone dated 1750, probably the original entrance. There are also rainwater hoppers dated 1750. Sash windows with glazing bars. The east front appears to be older with a bay centrepiece with Dutch gables. Wings either side. Sash windows with glazing bars.

Interior not seen but said to include a C18 painted ceiling in the music room.

Lived in by Baron Bunsen 1848-1849.
