Circa 1876-77. By R Norman Shaw. Red brick ground storey tile-hung above with
projecting black and white timbered entrance wing with gable over. Asymmetrical
design. Two storeys with dormered attic. Multi-paned casement windows. Tiled roof
with tall brick stacks into moulded caps. Interior of interest, especially the
staircase. See page 129 of 'R Normen Shaw' by A Saint. The drawings for the house
are in the Royal Academy.
