Cottage. Dated 1603, mostly rebuilt and dated 1728, and raised half storey c1800. Red brick and Welsh slate roof with brick central ridge stack. Brick coped left shouldered gable and brick band. Two storeys of two centre-opening three-light casements, those on ground floor with top lights. Cambered lintels. Central doorway with brick lintel and keystone. Four-panelled part-glazed door. Wall post visible on two storey rear wing which has rubble stone plinth.
Adjoins Cleveland Cottage (q.v.) to left and No.2 Manor Cottages (q.v.) to right. The doorway keystone is inscribed 'T.I.S. 1728 W.C.: S.P.'. Said to be a beam inside inscribed 'T.A. : E.A. 1603'.
