House. Dated 1669, perhaps with earlier origins, and raised 1 1/2 storeys and
extended C18. Coursed rubble stone and red brick and Welsh slate roof with
brick right end and wing left end stacks. 2 ranges, that to left of C18.
Right range of 3 storeys, of stone to halfway up 1st floor, thereafter brick.
In centre and right of range 2 3-storey 4-light canted bay windows. On left a
wooden doorcase with flat bracketted canopy and 6-panelled door. 1-light
casement to right. 2-light and 1-light over and 2-light on 2nd floor. On the
left end the lower range of 2 storeys has a 2-light and a 1-light casement on
each floor. Above the doorway a stone tablet inscribed 'R.A.C. 1669',
possibly for Robert and Alice Coleman. Said to be beam inscribed'A.H.C' and
moulded beam inside. V.C.H., Vol. V.
