Country house lodge. Circa mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble with stone dressings. Slate roof with deep eaves and verges with pierced barge boards to gables. Ashlar axial and gable end stacks with chamfered shafts.
PLAN: T-shaped on plan with outhouses at end of rear wing.
Tudor Gothic style.
EXTERIOR: 1 storey and attic. Asymmetrical north west front with gabled cross-wing on left; 1,2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars, ground floor with hoodmoulds, first floor right in small gable; 4-centred arch doorway with plank door. South west side similar, but without doorway. North east side, plank door with small gable above and range of outhouses to left.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Gardener's Cottage is one of a series of Victorian lodges at Tyntesfield.
