Estate gas works, now used as estate office. Circa late C19. Stone rubble with freestone dressings. Welsh slate roof with gabled ends and stone coping rising to two axial stacks with set-offs.
PLAN: Rectangular on plan.
EXTERIOR: Single storey. Asymmetrical 5-bay south east front with four large 2-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, slightly chamfered stone lintels and weathered cills, and doorway on left with chamfered arises and plank door. At the north east end there are segmental arches over a window and a blocked doorway. At rear, a lean-to.
INTERIOR not inspected.
A good example of a Victorian estate gas works and one of a very complete series of estate buildings at Tyntesfield Park.
