Cottage. c1700. Local lias stone rubble roughly coursed; thatched roof between coped gables; brick chimney stacks.
T-plan; 2 storeys, 2-bay east elevation. Simple casement windows of several patterns, the uppers cut into line of
thatch. On north gable a C20 porch to what is presumably the original gable entry. Interior not seen. Said to have been
one of two cottages built for lime burners in connection with local stone quarry, the other opposite appears to be
altered : inside an open fireplace and circular stair (VCH, Volume III, 1974).
