House, inn when surveyed. C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber frame now largely replaced by C19 painted brick; reed thatch roof with coped verges to right gable end.
Original two-cell plan extended by one bay to right in early C19. One storey and attic with dentilled eaves cornice to C19 addition. C17 part has two casements with C19 segmental heads to ground floor and two C20 eyebrow dormers directly above; similar casement to C19 addition. C20 nail-studded door with C19 segmental head to far right of C17 part. Red brick ridge stack to left of centre and rendered external end stack to C19 addition. Collar and tie-beam truss with projecting single-purlin ends visible to left gable end and wall posts visible to left, right and centre to front. Continuous brick outshut to rear of C17 part.
INTERIOR: framing visible; square panels to left gable end and fragmentary square panels cut through to original back wall. Chamfered spine beam and joists to right ground-floor room of C17 part, which has inglenook fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel and ogee stops. Single-storey C20 addition to left is not of special architectural interest.
