Farmhouse, now offices. C17, remodelled early C19 with late C20 additions
and alterations. Timber frame largely replaced by early C19 red brick;
machine and plain tile roofs. L-plan comprising hall range of 2 framed
bays with slightly later 2-bay cross-wing projecting to left. One storey
and attic to hall range, 2 storeys with dentilled floor band to cross-
wing. Hall range has C20 casements with C19 segmental heads and C20
gabled eaves dormers directly above to either side of central late C20
porch; paired segmental-headed C20 casements to first floor-of cross-
wing with contemporary segmental-headed casement to ground floor. Collar
and tie beam truss exposed to gable end of hall range and single-purlin
ends visible to cross-wing. Red brick ridge stack with paired and rebated
shafts to left of hall range and internal end stack in front of ridge
to right. Interior: timber frame (square panels) exposed to cross-
wall of hall range; chamfered spine beams and heavy joists throughout.
Massive stack to hall range has inglenook fireplace with segmental wooden
lintel on ground floor. Two C18 inset wall cupboards with H-hinges
to right gable end of hall range on ground floor. Hall range has single-
purlin roof with 3 collar and tie beam trusses and straight windbraces;
left truss with wattle and daub infill exposed to one of panels.
