Pedestal tomb and railed enclosure. Circa 1819. Limestone. Square
section with moulded plinth and capping surmounted by urn-shaped finial
with scalloped underside on 2 square slabs. Moulded inscription panels
with fluted cornice above, north in memory of John Burlton and his wife,
Elizabeth (both died 1819). Inscription on west commemorates their son,
John Burlton and his daughter, Jane (both died 1818). Inscription on
south to their son-in-law, Timothy Oakley (died 1821) and their daughter,
Elizabeth (died 1822). Inscription on east commemorates John Bookey
Griffiths (died 1849). Tomb stands within low railed enclosure on low
chamfered plinth: twisted cast-iron railings.
