Barn approx. 10 metres to east of Lower Farmhouse

Barn. Early C18. Timber-framed on sandstone rubble plinth with corrugated
iron cladding and sandstone rubble south gable end wall; corrugated
iron roof. Three framed bays aligned approximately north-south. Framing:
square panels. Large pitching openings and small slatted windows
to west. Interior not inspected but much noted including collar and
tie-beam end truss with queen struts, single purlins and square-panelled
cross-walls. The barn forms part of a small C18 farmstead group including
a farmhouse (q.v.) and possibly former brewhouse (q.v.). Included
for group value.
