Cow houses approximately 10 metres to north-east of Shootrough Farmhouse

Cow houses. C18 and C19. Weatherboarded timber frame on high sandstone rubble plinth extended in roughly coursed sandstone rubble; corrugated iron roof. One storey. Right-hand part with pair of louvred windows flanking central boarded door approached by three stone steps. Left-hand part with two boarded doors (right-hand of stable type).
The cow houses form part of a complete farmstead group including farmhouse (q.v.) and barn (q.v.). Included for group value.
