Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick (Flemish garden wall bond) with slate roofs.
T-plan with semi-circular stair tower to rear. 3 storeys. Dentil brick
eaves cornice; integral brick end stacks. South-east front: 2 windows;
glazing bar sashes with segmental gauged heads except second floor with
2-light wooden casement to right and late C19 cast iron 2-light casement to
left with lattice lights; central 4-panelled door (top panels glazed) with
moulded architrave and flat hood on shaped brackets. Central semi-circular
stair tower at rear with tall stair window and flanking one-storey lean-to
service blocks. Interior: oak newel stair in stair tower. The stair
tower is an unusual feature in a house of this date.
