GV II

House, latterly inn. Early to mid-C18. Painted brick with slate roof.
2 storeys. Plinth, plat band; external coursed Alberbury breccia rubble
end stack to right with brick top, integral brick end stack to left
with chamfered offset, and large external coursed Alberbury breccia rubble
lateral stack to rear with chamfered side offsets. 5-window front;
segmental-headed C19 wooden cross-windows,except for 3-light windows
with transoms on each floor to left; third window from right blocked;
central panelled and boarded door with moulded architrave, and gabled
slate-roofed porch on painted cast iron columns. Blocked attic window
in right-hand gable end. Interior not inspected but likely to be of
interest.
