Barn. C17 with later alterations. Timber framed, part with red brick infill,
part weatherboarded, corrugated iron roof. Originally of 4 framed bays with
slightly later 2-bay lofted addition to right, converted to stables in mid-
C19. Former threshing entrance with wide double doors in third bay from left
and 2 doors to right of centre, one with eaves hatch above; one segmental-
headed opening to right. Framing: exposed to right gable end and internally,
square panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate with long straight tension braces,
the front wall of the 2-bay addition re-built in mid-C19 red brick. Interior:
original part has a 4-bay roof with raking struts from tie beams supporting
principal rafters; Queen-strut roof to 2-bay addition. Upper Moat Farmhouse
is not included.
