House. C16, remodelled C17, early C18 and C20. Originally timber-framed. C18
colourwashed limestone rubble; gabled thatch roof; end stacks of stone finished
in brick. 3-unit plan. One storey and attic; 3-window range. Timber lintels,
some rendered, over C20 glazed door and 2-light casements; swept dormers with
late C19 two-light casements. C20 bay to right. Early C18 one-bay extension to
left: rendered over timber frame on limestone rubble plinth; half-hipped thatch
roof. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest. it has been suggested
that the original C16 house was a simple 2-bay one-storey cottage, of which
smoke-blackened principal rafters crossed at apex are noted as surviving.
