Stables, now outbuilding. Late C17, remodelled mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble
with squared and ashlar dressings; gabled stone-coped stone slate roof; late C17
moulded stone ridge stack and similar mid C19 left end stack. 2 storeys;
4-window range. Steps descend to 3 doorways with flat stone arches. Label moulds
over mid C19 hollow-moulded stone-mullioned and arch-headed 2-light windows.
Roof surmounted by belfry with pyramidal lead roof and weathercock. C17
chamfered round-arched doorway and hollow-moulded arched light to rear.
Subsidiary features: limestone rubble wall with moulded coping, and Tudor-style
archway with moulded cornice, extends approximately 55 metres from front of
right corner. Stables have reset medieval mouldings, probably taken from former
manor house of Sesswells Barton which stood nearby.
