Outbuildings enclosing yard to north of Barton Abbey (q.v.). Late C17 and C18,
remodelled in 1850s, Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate and artificial
stone slate roofs. Courtyard plan. Includes remodelled shelter sheds with stone
piers to east and stable and granary range to north with stone steps to left
door and late C17/early C18 post and pad roof. Range to west has mid C19 brick
outshuts facing yard; front facing stable yard remodelled c.1850s as Tudor-style
coachhouses and stable; has moulded carriage-arches, and small gablet with ball
finial over stable door flanked by mullioned windows. Included for group value.
