Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17 and early C18, altered late C18/early C19.
Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and some ashlar dressings;
Stonesfield-slate roofs with ashlar stacks. T plan. 2 storeys. 2 bays to left of
irregular 5-window road front are higher and have small 12-pane sashes at first
floor, with casements and an entrance below, the large central casement with an
old chamfered lintel; lower section has two 3-light casements (one with leaded
glazing) plus a blocked window at first floor, and at ground floor has 2 more
small sashes and 2 larger late-C18/early-C19 sashes with ashlar dressings.
Steep-pitched roof has stacks flanking each section. Rear of lower section has
further 16-pane sashes and leaded first-floor casements; rear of higher section
has a tall gabled stair projection. 5-window rear wing has mostly leaded
casements plus a doorway, and has an end outshut; the stone porch in the angle
of the ranges is an early-20 addition. Interior: early-C18 panelled first-floor
room; panelled shutters in other rooms. Chamfered tiebeams indicate C17 work.
