Steps and Arch at
Hall Farm

Wall. Early C19. Flint, knapped and random, brick dressings and copings.
Garden and farmyard curtain wall curving through 45 degrees, from Kirkgate farmyard
entrance to High Street Hall Farmhouse entrance. Distinctive entrance gateway
opposite church: steps, semi-circular arch, tapering bricks, capitals and central
key-stone. Ogee coping bricks stepped as battlements with dentils. At right
angles, wall connecting with S front of Hall Farm, early C19, flint and gault
dressings. Stone console brackets, Greek Revival mouldings, at junction with
curtain wall. Included for group value.
