Pumphouse. Probably third quarter of C19, for Lord Armstrong. Roughly squared
stone; Welsh slater roof. Small rectangular building, c.3 by 6 metres. 6 steps
down to boarded door on south.
Interior: 4-metre diameter all-metal waterwheel in situ
The wheel operated a pump (mechanism partly removed) which raised water to
Worton Farm, 0.5 kilometre to the south-west in Snitter parish.
