House now shop. Early C18 origins, remodelled early
to mid C19. Plastered front lined as ashlar; valley
roof, slate in front, tiles to rear. 3 storeys with
floor bands; 3 windows, not symmetrical; glazing bar
sashes near flush framed; ground floor has 2 glazing
bar shop fronts, the right hand one tripartite with bow
centre; painted fascia common to both interrupted by
early C18 doorcase with fluted pilasters to a 6 panelled
door. Late C20 plaque to right hand. "Thomas Andrew
Walker, Civil Engineer, was born here 1828" erected by
Cannock R.D.C.
