House. C16 much rebuilt in the C19 and remodelled in the late C20. Timber
framed core of cruck construction, the outer walls rebuilt in brick and
plastered; plain tile roof; brick central stack. 2-cell range aligned
north-south facing west with a small annexe of C17 origin at the north-east
corner. Formerly baffle entry plan with main entrance to the west; the
present entrances are to the north and to the south-east. One storey and
attic; 2 windows, C20 casements and attic dormer. The annexe to the rear
retains an early C19 window with Gothic glazing bars and has an exposed C17
roof truss. Interior. Central cruck truss; the present upper roof truss
has been jointed into the tops of the trunicated crucks. 2 early C17 panelled
doors; chamfered stopped spine beam and joists and an open fireplace with timber
bresummer in the southernmost ground floor room.
