House. Dated R.O. 1605 above door; this probably refers to the
rebuilding of an earlier timber-framed house; remodelled mid C19;
refurbished and refenestrated late C20. Coursed rubble with ashlar
dressings; clay tile roof; integral coursed rubble end stack.
2 rooms; single bay room to West, with fireplace in East wall,
entered from a 2-bay room to East with fireplace in East Wall,
in turn entered from main door on South side. 2 storeys; 3 windows;
C20 casements; ghost of an earlier window to ground floor right; small
C17 loop to left of centre; C17 mullioned window to left hand gable end;
central doorway with cambered head with panelled spandrels. Interior:
2 curved cruck trusses joined at apex by a yoke which supports a ridge
piece; C17 stone fireplace, partly restored. Colum Giles (1975).
