Barn adjacent to east angle of Basfordbridge Farmhouse

Barn. Dated 1682, altered mid-C19. Coursed squared and dressed stone,
tiled roof on chamfered eaves band. 2-level plan of hay loft over
cattle shed. South-west front has 2 hay loft openings to left over
2 top-hung casements to ground floor. Each set to right of an entrance,
that to the left reduced in size from cart entry to single door by
brickwork. Left-hand gable has inscription to first floor hay loft
opening: IF Possibly the Finney family of Finneylane (q.v.).
