GV II

Carriage sheds, dairy and Home Farmhouse. Dated 1806, possibly
restored. Coursed squared and dressed stone with finely dressed
details; hipped and gabled tiled roofs. L-shaped plan with farm-
house in lower limb. Entrance front: symmetrical of 2 storeys with
taller open pedimented central pavilion bearing circular date plaque
inscribed: "MDCCCVI" over segmental-headed 2-light casement window
above elliptical carriage arch; flanking wings have similar windows
set to extremities in 2 ranges with boarded doors set to outer sides
of each range. The windows on the south-west end have painted boards
over, inscribed: "Cheese Room" to first floor and "Dairy" to ground
floor. There are 2 elliptical-arched carriage doors to the inner
side of the north-east wing. The Home Farmhouse fronted to south-
west C20 casements and stack to right of centre. The unit forms a
'U' around a courtyard with the stables (q.v.).
