Pedestrian bridge. Dated 1842. Cast iron and coursed squared and
dressed stone. Abutments in stone; roving plan arrangement, deep
copings coursing follows line of incline of abutment, raised string
at impost-level of cast-iron span; segmental arch with fish-scale
pattern balustrade screen; dated to centre panel. This branch of the
Caldon Canal was opened circa 1779. Set at the junction with the Leek
Branch, opened circa 1801.
