Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C19 additions. Coursed dressed and squared
stone of ashlar quality to C17 part; red brick to remainder; tiled
roofs; verge parapets with pitched coping and flame finials; massive
ridge stack against cross wing; L-shaped plan. Projecting C17 wing to
left; raised cavetto strings at floor levels and raised plinth; ovolo
stone mullioned and transomed windows, stepped one- over 3-light to
attic, 5-light to first floor and 6-light to ground floor; gable pitch
continued to right over porch, set flush with gable face; blind oculus
over heavy C17 lintel and boarded door; long low set-back brick wing
to right is of 2 windows (plus a small pointed-arch light against return
angle). Left side of C17 wing has former 5- and 3-light mullioned and
transomed windows to first and ground floor.
