Farmhouse. Dated 1597 with early C19 alterations and additions. Coursed
dressed and squared stone; heavy stone or slate roof; verge parapets;
end stacks. Entrance front, a C19 composition, the principal part to
right is of 2 storeys and 3 windows; glazing bar sashes, the outer are
tripartite. Additional round-arched ground-floor window to left of centre;
low bay to left with large 3-light casements; short lower bay further
to left has one window and boarded farm entrance door. Rear elevation:
of 2 storeys and attic; paired C16 gables with raised string at first-
floor head level; C19 Gothick 3-light casements to ground and first
floors of each gable and stone ovolo mullioned 2-light attic windows;
inset panel in parapet over valley inscribed: RT
3-sided bay window and C20 entrance to west 1597
elevation. MT
