Detached cottage. Late C17. Rendered cob and timber frame, half-
hipped thatched roof with brick stack to left of centre. Gable end
to road, baffle entry. Single-storey and attic, 1-window east
front. Lean-to timber porch with planked door to left, 2-light
leaded casement to right, one eyebrow dormer to attic with 2-light
casement. Left return, gable end to road has two 2-light ground
floor casements and one 2-light first floor casement. Rear has
three 2-light casements to ground floor and 2-light casement to
eyebrow dormer, stone projection for bread oven to right. Right
return with lean-to addition and 2-light attic casement.
Interior has open fireplace with chamfered lintel on chamfered
stone jambs, chamfered beam with jewel stops. First floor blocked
stone Tudor-arched fireplace. Winding stairs, planked doors.
Originally single-cell timber-framed cottage with C18 cob additions
either end.
