House, late C16; the parlour block of a house whose remaining part is in
separate occupation and is not of special interest. 2 storeys with attic.
Timber-framed and plastered. Slated roof, once thatched; an axial chimney
with a rebuilt shaft of C18/C19 red brick. Small-pane casements of c.1980.
Lean-to slated entrance porch of c.1980 with glazed panelled door. Good
framing with close-studding, including a diamond-mullioned window at rear, and
evidence for others. Unchamfered floor joists laid flat. Coupled-rafter roof
with hip rafters to right still in position. A large open fireplace of late
C16 buff bricks, with a cambered lintel.
