House, probably C17 core; remodelling of c.1900; all external features of this
date. Timber-framed; the front elevation encased in gault brick c.1900,
side walls plastered. Slated roof, once plaintiled. Axial chimney, the shaft
rebuilt c.1900 in gault brick with a sawtooth band beneath the cap. 2 flat-
roofed lead-clad casement dormers. 2 storeys and attics. 3-cell lobby-
entrance plan. 5 windows. Windows with, at ground storey, flat arches of
gauged brick; cross-casements. A pair of 3-panelled entrance doors, the upper
panels with leaded stained glass. A 2-storey porch, open at ground storey on
a pair of Doric columns; above is a flat-roofed bay on a gault brick plinth.
