Former farmhouse. Mid C16. Timber framed and rendered, roof of old
plaintiles. 2 cells of a 3-cell cross-entry house, the service end to right
lost. 2 storeys and attic. Late C19 small-paned casement windows. C20
gabled porch with mid C20 plank door. Internal stack. One-storey lean-to
additions on each gable end. Interior. Intact studding, closely-spaced on
ground floor. Parlour ceiling has chamfered axial bridging beam and roll-
moulded joists. 2 further roll-moulded joists in ceiling forward of stack.
In the hall the joists are chamfered in the upper bay (nearer the stack) and
plain in the lower bay. Back-to-back fireplaces with original lintols, the
brickwork with mid C20 repointing. Rebuilt newel stair. Queen-post roof.
