Former farmhouse. C15 or early C16 core, altered and enlarged later C16 to
form a 2-cell house; C19 and mid C20 additions and renovation. Timber framed,
the side walls faced in red brick, that to the front of C19 date. Pantiled
roof. 2 storeys. 3 windows, mid C20 standard casements without glazing bars;
flat soldier course arches. Lobby entrance with mid C20 gabled brick porch
and plank door. Internal stack with rendered axial shaft. 3 mid C20 solar
panels on front roof slope. C19 addition to left is rendered, with exposed
timbers on upper floor. Interior. Left cell has fragmentary late medieval
former open hall, the central truss with a flat arched-braced tie beam. Walls
later raised by about one metre. Inserted floor has chamfered joists set
flat. The bay nearer the stack is trimmed for a wide opening, perhaps for a

of a different date. Right cell has good close studding; some original
windows with diamond and chamfered mullions. Chamfered-joist ceilings on both
floors. Roof not examined.
