Lodge to Wrentham House. Early C19. Brick and stucco, lined in imitation of ashlar;
colourwashed brick to right hand wing; pantiled roof. Single storey. Symmetrical
facade with parapet, gabled over the centre. The central bay has a very fine early-mid
C18 Greek Doric doorcase: engaged fluted columns, a frieze enriched with triglyphs,
paterae and a central urn, and a finely-detailed pedimented cornice. In place of the
door is a large-paned sash window. To either side are matching dummy doorways:
attached slender square columns, triglyph frieze and pedimented cornice; boarded and
battened dummy doors with segmental fanlights over. The right hand section is set back:
in the gable end is a doorway with engaged circular columns and bracketed cornice;
6-panel door and rectangular fanlight.
